SHANGHAI Mayor Ying Yong held a talk with visiting Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven in the municipal building yesterday.

Ying said Sweden is an important EU country. Shanghai and Sweden have cooperated well and pragmatically in economy, trade, port construction, shipping and education.

Shanghai is the economic center of China and is aiming to become a global innovation center. The city is carrying out a new round of development in Shanghai Free Trade Zone to facilitate trade and investment, he said.
