Minhang residents get ‘home away from home’   2017-08-01

MINHANG District plans to build 100 innovative “neighborhood centers” for seniors and children while offering other cultural, educational and public services, the head of the district said yesterday.

Each center will be based in a separate building to offer over 100 varieties of public services for residents living within a kilometer in the one of the most populous suburban districts, Ni Yaoming, director of Minhang, said in a radio interview.

Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors will provide treatment and give lectures. Community canteens, libraries and caring beds for seniors will be included in the centers.
