Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong met Samuel Chao Chung Ting, a Chinese-American Nobel Prize laureate for physics and other famous scholars at Fudan University Innovation Forum and a Fudan-Zhongzhi Science Award ceremony on Saturday.

Ying said Shanghai is working hard to build the framework of its technology and innovation center by 2020, and bring into play the center’s core functions by 2030. So, Shanghai needs constructive advices and proposals from the top scientists around the world.

In the meantime, Shanghai is also building the Zhangjiang Comprehensive National Science Center, Ying added. The key to build the center lies in talents, so Shanghai has introduced a series of preferential policies to attract domestic and international talents.
