Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong met Jose Augusto Duarte, the newly-appointed Portugal’s ambassador to China, and his delegation on Monday. Ying said Shanghai and Portugal have always had good relationship. Portugal’s food, architecture, and football teams are well-received in the city. Since Shanghai and Porto became sister cities, the two have expanded their cooperation into more areas. Ying told his guests that Shanghai will build itself into an international center of economy, finance, trade, shipping and bring into the framework of the globally influential science and innovation center by 2020.
