Shanghai launched a Big Data center yesterday to improve management of the city and the business environment. The Shanghai Municipal Big Data Center will bring together all kinds of service data, including those of the government departments and other organizations, for connection, sharing and application, Zhou Bo, Shanghai’s executive vice mayor, said at a press conference. The center is expected to promote integration of technology, business and data, and help build a data-sharing system of the city. It will formulate technical standards and management methods for the collection, management, sharing, opening, application and security of data resources.
