China’s first national long-distance medical consultation and diagnosis network for children’s diseases was established at the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University today.

The first-of-its-kind network covers all 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions on the mainland with over 4,500 medical facilities for remote group consulting, surgery broadcast, patient checking, plus education and research.

“Through this network, all domestic medical facilities can enjoy high-quality medical resources and boost overall medical development,” said Dr Huang Guoying, president of the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University, which heads the network.
