Traffic authority clamp down on illegal trucks at Shanghai borders 2018-07-17
The law enforcement department of Shanghai Transportation Commission joined hands with traffic authorities from neighboring Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces to start a 100-day campaign cracking down on overloaded and unlicensed trucks on highways around Shanghai.
Ten check points have been set up at tolls on Shanghai's borders to the three provinces since Monday.
At the main toll station on Chongqi Bridge (G40) in Jiangsu, officers from Shanghai and Jiangsu are working together to examine passing vehicles. While the traffic authority of Jiangsu Province weeds out overloaded trucks, Shanghai’s traffic authority double checks the information of trucks registered in Shanghai.
