Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong met Stanley Loh Ka Leung, Singapore’s ambassador to China, and his delegation on Wednesday. Ying said China and Singapore have a close economic and trade ties and China is Singapore’s largest trade partner and investor. Shanghai and Singapore have always had good cooperation and partnership. Currently, the city is accelerating the process of building itself into an international center of economy, finance, trade, shipping as well as a technology and innovation center, and it’s also trying to build the Shanghai Free Trade Zone into a bridgehead to serve the Belt and Road Initiative.
