Shanghai Party Secretary Li Qiang met Jose Ramon Balaguer, secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and head of the International Department of Cuba, and his delegation on Tuesday. Li briefed his guests on the Party building in Shanghai and the city’s economic and social development, and its opening up and reforms. He said China and Cuba are good friends with shared destiny and interests. China and Cuba’s diplomatic relations have weathered many sorts of challenges and the people of the two countries have deep friendship.
