Fog and rain bring flight misery 2014-07-03
FOG and heavy rain led to some 80 flights being cancelled and hundreds delayed at Shanghai’s airports yesterday morning.
More than 150 international and domestic flights were delayed at Hongqiao International Airport by 1pm yesterday as the city’s weather forecasters issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms. Meanwhile, some 120 flights were held up at Pudong International Airport.
Delays began during the morning peak time at both airports, the Shanghai Airport Authority said.
