Traffic in Pudong's Zhangjiang area will be affected over the next six months due to a major elevated road project that starts next Monday. All eight ramps of the Outer Ring Road on Longdong Avenue will be shut from April 15 till October. A new 14-kilometer, six-lane elevated road in the middle of Longdong Avenue which connects the Inner Ring Road, Middle Ring Road, Outer Ring Road and the G1501 Expressway is expected to relieve traffic pressure on the avenue which has six vehicle lanes and two non-vehicle lanes.
