City delivery firms given 30% green vehicle quota 2014-07-16
THIRTY percent of vehicles purchased by delivery companies in Shanghai will have to be environmentally friendly, under new regulations issued yesterday.
The city government has also pledged to create an additional 4,000 charging spots where clean energy vehicles can be charged.
This follows a central government announcement this week which said that at least 30 percent of all cars purchased for official use in the 2014-16 period must be new energy vehicles.
