Nanjing Road Pedestrian Mall will be extended to Sichuan Road M. by May next year, Shanghai traffic police said over the weekend. The current Pedestrian Mall, which stretches between Xizang Road M. and Henan Road M., will be extended towards the Bund for about 300 meters. Work primarily consists of changing the road surface. Work will start on December 6. From then until the work is finished, Nanjing Road E. will be closed to traffic between Henan Road M. and Zhongshan Road E1.
