Fake fans flattened ... first for FTZ 2014-09-16
A HAUL of 1,300 bladeless fans that infringed the intellectual property rights of British technology company Dyson Ltd were destroyed yesterday in Shanghai’s pilot free trade zone, the Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People’s Court said.
The case came to light in August last year after Dyson contacted Shanghai Customs to complain that Sichuan Province-based Fengwansheng had breached its patent.
Customs officials studied the Chinese fans, which were bound for sale in Japan, and found in favor of Dyson.
