ALL landscape lights will be turned on in downtown areas, along the Huangpu River, the former World Expo site and some elevated roads from 6pm to 11pm between tomorrow and October 6 to celebrate the National Day holiday.
Some skyscrapers, outdoor advertisement boards, the Yan’an and Humin elevated roads, the Inner Ring Road and the Yangpu, Nanpu and Lupu bridges will be lit up for the holiday, the Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau said.
Flowers have been planted at People’s Square, the Bund, the Jing’an Temple, Lujiazui, Xujiahui and the Zhongshan Park to spruce up the city for the golden week. Flowers have also been planted along 10 major streets including Huaihai, Nanjing and Xujiahui roads.
