Watchdog calls for better regulations to tackle personal information leaks 2014-10-28
THE city consumer rights watchdog has called for improved regulations to protect personal information.
Research by the Shanghai Consumer Rights Protection Commission that found personal information leakage remains at a serious level, even after a revised consumer rights law was introduced.
The commission organized 100 volunteers and recorded and analyzed the number and content of promotional phone calls and short messages they received over two months.
