The city government completed all 28 of its goals that it set out to accomplish at the beginning of 2014, according to the Shanghai Information Office.

The 28 goals included building more facilities for seniors, ensuring a safer food supply and various infrastructure projects.

The government even surpassed targets on 19 of its goals.

The government built 41 senior centers, 21 more than the target. It also built 74 centers that teach seniors various life skills like how to use a computer, 24 more than the goal.

The government also provided personalized assistance devices to 17,497 handicapped people compared to the target of 10,000.

The projects scored 85 out of 100 in a public satisfaction survey conducted by the Shanghai Statistics Bureau. The survey included appraisal by lawmakers and political advisory committee members and online feedback from residents, the information office said.
