Extra transport to deal with 10m air passengers 2015-02-02
AIRPORT bus, Metro and Maglev services are being extended over the Spring Festival holiday to cope with more than 10 million passengers.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport expect to handle 10.05 million passengers between February 4 to March 16 — up more than 5 percent on last year.
Chinese New Year falls on February 19 this year and huge numbers of people head home for the holiday, while others take advantage of the break to jet out on winter holidays. The Shanghai Airport Authority said it will run more frequent late bus services at both airports according to passenger flow.
