Spring Festival tourist numbers hit 3.8m 2015-02-25
THE number of tourists visiting Shanghai over the weeklong Spring Festival holiday rose 4.8 percent year on year to 3.8 million, the city’s tourism authority said yesterday.
Tourist revenue in the period gained 4.9 percent from last year to 3.75 billion yuan (US$599.6 million), the Shanghai Tourism Administration said.
Admissions at the 120 tourist attractions monitored by the administration rose 6 percent from last year to more than 3.5 million, while the city’s major parks welcomed 3.7 million visitors, it said.
