Everything looks peachy as blossom show nears 2015-03-20
THE annual Shanghai Peach Blossom Festival gets under way later this month at four sites in the Pudong New Area.
People hoping to see the annual blooms can take a free shuttle bus from outside Metro Line 16’s Huinan, Xinchang and Dishuihu Lake stations. These will run to the sites in the towns of Huinan, Datuan, Xinchang and Laogang, which between them have 3,300 hectares of peach trees.
The Nanhui Peach Blossom Village in Huinan, which boasts about 20 varieties of peach blossom, is likely to be the most popular, especially as it now also has a musical fountain.
